I'm sure you must be thinking "Is that really a cake?" "What is it?" Anyone familiar with the insides of the human body will recognize this as a liver.
My dear friend Liz has a daughter who recently received a liver transplant. This cake was made special just for her, and came complete in a transplant cooler, delivered with care.
Here is my best friend Liz, little LuLu and her liver cake. I should mention that at the time this cake was made, LuLu was still awaiting a liver transplant. Since then, she has received her new liver, and is recovery fabulously at home with her family.
Here is James, LuLu's dad, complete with surgical gloves, carefully preparing the liver to be eaten. Sounds weird, but it was perfect for this family.

so sweet my best friend leslie. you are amazingly talented and so beautiful inside and out. thank you for your love, support, lending ear, shoulder to cry on, being my confidant (sp)and such a TALENTED baker that could provide us with this AMAZING cake that did mean the absolute world to us on lulu's first birthday. i love love love you lesler!
